AN EAGLES TEAR

An eagle's tear runs down his face.
A nation of innocence had felt the guilt.
A guilt that's caused by evil inside,
A guilt that's destroyed a security we had.
Lives are lost, survivors die too.
All are mourned as the eagle cries.

A sign of freedom, he soars above--
Skies of blue, a cloudless day.
Eight forty-six on September 11.
Buildings are hit, A sign we can fall.
Lives are lost, survivors die too.
All are mourned as the eagle cries.

The fate of evil had been defined.
Stand with us or die with them.
Revenge is sweet to regain our lives,
To live the way we were meant to live.
And their lives will not be given in vain--
To give some meaning to an eagle's tears.
